The “wart” of Place Max-Barel in Nice, replaced by a delicatessen. As announced by Nice-Matin, a delicatessen-bakery-pastry shop has opened its doors in place of the former Shell service station, which has been abandoned for more than 10 years.
Her name? The Little Merchants. And behind this sign are well-known names in the restoration of Nice: the brothers Baptiste and Louis Bonifassi of the company of the same name, Philippe Canatella – owner of Bocaccio, La Voglia, La Favola, Le Galet, etc. – and Loïs Guenzati from the Peixes restaurant.
Bread, fruit and vegetables and wine
Their ambition? Transform the pleasure of doing “two races”. “A pleasure for the eyes, as for the senses. A moment of discovery and tasting, which we wish to reiterate. Thus, curious as well as epicureans will find their happiness there: a daily chore which is more like a pleasant parenthesis, where wise advice will be in order”they say in a press release.
Wide range of breads, sandwiches, fruits and vegetables but also pastries and organic wines are on the menu. “Each of us brings their experience and skills. Our respective professions will give this place a unique atmosphere, where the boutique experience will be premium… But above all delicious!”explains Baptiste Bonifassi.
